CrossFire CN is China's localized version of CF and with hundreds of servers around China. It was published in 2008 and uses the default CFP (CF Points) as premium game money/currency.
CF China is the first CF version to update the server tickrate to 16.

Overview[]
CF China is the most successful CrossFire server in the entire world, with the most players count and contents compare to any other regions of the world. In China, CrossFire is the biggest FPS game up to date in both playerbase and eSports, with the complex eSports setting other regions don't have, as they don't have assistance from Tencent, only from Smilegate.
There's an app which is only available for China that is dedicated for the whole CrossFire IP (CrossFire, CrossFire Mobile, CrossFire HD), acts as a community app for CF China. It is where players can collect ingame prizes, participating in events,...
Tencent has collaborated with many singers and artists, with the most notable are theme songs for the game, including Gong Geer, Nicholas Tse, Wang Leehom, G.E.M.... Some of them were used as BGM ingame, replaced the original CF BGM for a short amount of time.
Tencent Pictures, Sony Pictures and Smilegate produced a drama for China market, and got a huge success.
Real name authentication[]
From around 2017-2018, in accordance to the new Chinese gaming law, every QQ/Wechat accounts must bind with at least one of real name authentication method, and only Chinese living in mainland China, Chinese living abroad, people living in Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan and foreigners with permanent residency in mainland China can submit for the authentication.
Moreover, Tencent requires players to have face recognition as well, making creating accounts and playing Chinese games and CrossFire CN specifically a really hard task without any relatives having any method of authentication mentioned above.
Black Market[]
CF China features an old "slot machine" type black market instead of the spinning wheel like in most other servers. Every capsule will 100% give players an item, like a name card for 1 day or a Large HypoMed, besides, the capsules will give players prizes, some expensive Cash capsules will offer 2 prizes per capsule; some cheap capsules and all GP capsules only give 1 prize. The best prize is a weapon for 30 days, if players didn't get the best one, they will get a coupon in some expensive capsules; other Cash capsules have a low odds to win a coupon; GP capsules never give a coupon. Recent updates have added the New Black Market system, removing the old Black Market altogether. The New Black Market is still unique for giving only one prize, at the trade that most junkie stuff in the capsule has 30d usage. The "Best" prize can either be 30d or permanent.
As Tencent only sells newer premium weapons through Daoju (an online app to buy ingame items for Tencent games), other items are given away through events or sold directly on the official CF website, Black Market is left unused for a really long time.
Servers[]
In CrossFire China, there are 4 levels of servers that are available, both private and public:
- Level 1: Internal experimental server, only Smilegate and Tencent staffs have access with the highest level of security.
- Level 2: Close experimental server, only invited players chosen by Tencent can access this server. Most leaks come from this server, but in recent years Tencent is more strict about what can be leaked and what can not.
- Level 3: Public experimental server, any QQ accounts which join public QQ groups for public experimental servers and with enough QQ level are eligible for this server. The purpose of this server is to check if there is any last abnomal things for contents that have been gone through internal and close experimental server. This server in the past allowed hacks to be used for anticheat reasons, but after Tencent decided only eligible accounts can join this server, hacks are not allowed anymore.
- Level 4: Public servers, which is the same as other servers.
Trivia[]
- This is the only version that does not use XTrap, XIGNCODE3 or GameGuard, instead, it utilizes its own Anti-Cheat Expert anti-cheating system (which is more powerful than XTrap and GameGuard).
- CF China constantly promotes events through its game portal TGP (Now called WeGame), with some added perks only available to users who run CF through those programs. On the same notes, many events are available exclusively through the use of the QQ App (Mobile platform), requiring players to own a smartphone/tablet to participate.
- Also, players can always obtain many weapons, even VVIP weapons either temporarily or permanently, depending on the event or your luck. There are also weapons and items can only be obtained through these events, such as Noble Gold weapons.
- Recent patches in CF China fixed the type-C crosshair, make it as big as a type-A crosshair. The reason is unknown.
