GPS-Mode

GPS Mode (a.k.a Bombing Mode) is a game mode in CrossFire.

Overview[]

This mode can be best described as a Free For All variant of Search & Destroy, where both teams can bomb the other's site for a quick victory. Both factions will need to locate the GPS device that spawn in one of few locations. Once a team collects it, they have to move forwards towards one of the opposing team's sites to put in the coordinates for an airstrike attack. The other team can locate the GPS device via their radar, plus a notification will show up to tell them once it has been collected for the first time. Setting GPS takes 10 seconds - this can't be shortened by C4 Kit or Achievements, so the one setting up GPS will be more vulnerable to sneak attack, requiring his team to protect him at all cost. To balance this, GPS signal cannot be interrupted - once it's set, the area will instantly be bombed and settle the round.

Soldiers in this mode can only be killed with head-shots or melee attacks, otherwise they will simply be in an injured status for 15 seconds before dying. When injured, soldiers cannot attack and unable to move very far. Teammates can tag injured soldiers to bring them back into the fight, which grants 30 health points to both.
