OMOH (Otryad Militsii Osobogo Naznacheniya) is a male character, also one of the three basic characters, featured in CrossFire.

Overview[]

A Russian Special Forces member also widely known as "Mafia Killers" in Russia. The OMOH features a combination of blue and white camo uniform and can either be purchased upon first playing the game or later via the Item Shop using GP. Comparing to SWAT and SAS, they are the least favorite among the three basic characters.

History[]

Established in 1979, the Russian special force ‘OMOH’, also known as ‘Black Berets’ or ‘Mafia Killer’ in Russia was meant to prevent any terrorist attacks in the 1980 Moscow Summer Olympics following the unfortunate events of the “Munich Massacre” which transpired in 1972 Olympics. Previously an anti-riot police division the OMOH has spread its function to a wider range of operations including combating organized crime and terrorists. Its members are comprised of former soldiers of the Soviet Army and Veterans of the Soviet-Afghanistan war. One notable and dubious achievements was in 2002, when the OMOH successfully thwarted the Moscow theater hostage crisis by Chechen rebels.

Version Differences[]

  • CF China: This character (2.0 variant) has two versions. The normal features no skills while the X version can hold up to 2 skills in the Character Upgrade System.

Trivia[]

  • OMOH is actually the Russian spelling. In English, it is OMON, meaning; "Otryad Militsii Osobogo Naznacheniya" or "Special Purpose Police Unit", now "Otryad Mobilniy Osobogo Naznacheniya" or "Special Purpose Mobile Unit".
  • In CF Russia, OMOH as any other characters has their own Russian voice instead of the default English voice.
