Uzi (or Mini Uzi) is a submachine gun featured in CrossFire.

Overview[]

Uzi is a compact submachine gun fed using the 9mm cartridges. Despite being sold in Item Shop for a cheap GP price, it's one of the unpopular submachine guns in CrossFire, which does low damage and is notoriously inaccurate. Its recoil is pretty high in comparison with other SMGs.

Because of its high rate of fire, the Uzi runs out of ammo very fast. It makes up for it with its very fast draw/reload speed and lightweight.

Advantages[]

  • Moderate accuracy.
  • Very fast firing speed.
  • Fast drawing speed.
  • Fast reloading speed.
  • Lightweight.
  • Has 4 spare magazines. (some versions only)

Disadvantages[]

  • Damage reduced over long range.
  • Low damage dealing.
  • Bad spraying pattern.
  • Loses accuracy when sprayed.
  • High recoil.
  • Easily runs dry.

Availability[]

  • Available in all CrossFire versions.

Tips and Tactics[]

  • Use the Uzi's lightweight, small size, and fast reload to rush, hide, and flank enemies from the side or rear.
  • Taking opponents head-on isn't recommended because of the Uzi's low damage per hit. Use stealth tactics instead. Aiming for enemies' head to prevent wasting ammo and reducing chance that they may survive and/or kill you before hand.
  • Pairing the Uzi with a high-power, high-accuracy pistol (such as Mauser M1896, Desert Eagle, or Anaconda) is recommended, so you can use the pistol to attack from beyond the Uzi's effective range.
  • DO NOT use an Uzi and an M9 pistol at the same time (unless you want to); a low damage primary weapon and a low damage sidearm doesn't mix well.
  • Since it is one of the weakest primary weapons in CF (although much more powerful than P90), Mauser M1896 (and variants) is one of the most recommended sidearms when using this weapon.

Trivia[]

In Real Life[]

  • The name "Uzi" for this gun was taken from the name of the person who designed it, Uziel Gal. Interestingly, Gal didn't want this gun to be named after him, but his request was ignored.
  • Uzi is the most widely used SMG in the world with more than 90 national armed forces worldwide.
  • Uzi has 3 basic variants: full-size (Uzi) (has either sliding or fixed wood buttstock) and compact variants (Mini Uzi & Micro Uzi, which both appear in the game; have folding stocks). Both Mini Uzi & Micro Uzi are also considered as Machine Pistols due to their compactness and their rate of fire surpasses its full size variant (950 RPM for Mini & 1200 RPM for Micro). Full-size Uzi & Micro Uzi also have civillian variants (respectively Uzi Carbine & Uzi Pistol). Micro Uzi, unlike its larger variants, is a closed bolt SMG/Machine Pistol.
  • Its most modern variant is Uzi Pro, which is developed from Micro Uzi. It also has a civillian variant, namely Uzi Pro Pistol.

In-Game[]

  • This gun is featured as a starting weapon alongside M16 in CF Russia, replacing the M700 (Which is sold in Item Shop).
  • The single-variant of the Uzi in CrossFire takes the model from Mini Uzi, while the dual-variant is modeled after Micro Uzi.
  • The Uzi features a foldable stock which likely helps increasing its accuracy & stability when spraying, but it's permanently in a closed position in game, which explains the ridiculously high recoil this gun suffered in CrossFire. High recoil is also one of many drawbacks of most Machine Pistol in real life.
